- First, we source feedstock from farms and food processors who can supply the same organic material consistent in its make-up, every time. Simply put, quality raw materials inbound is essential.
- Then our production process begins with natural aerobic composting, done in an indoor facility. By investing in the most advanced technology plus actively monitoring and managing the process, we create the optimal conditions for the microbes to transform the wet, organic mix into rich, earthy compost. Must the NOTRA method require this high-tech investment in a large scale indoor facility? Not necessarily. In tropical and even temperate climates outdoor composting can cut capital and operating costs significantly. Composting indoors shortens composting to weeks, not months. It also minimizes any environmental risks, reduces the size of property required and can be designed to operate continuously for a much more efficient operation and quality product.
- Our patented fertilizer formulation stage follows where moisture, particle size and heat are carefully monitored. The nutrient, pH and mineral content are balanced before entering the compression stage in the pellet mill or granulator. Then it is on to the bagging unit, the warehouse and off to the customer.
